Help change the world and improve the lives of North Dakota citizens by playing a pivotal role in reducing risk. You will drive the vulnerability management program to remediate vulnerabilities across the environment. North Dakota Information Technology Department (NDIT) is seeking a Vulnerability Remediation Specialist.

 

Summary of Work

 

As a Vulnerability Remediation Specialist, you will:

  • Be responsible for the vulnerability management program, while building and maintaining the vulnerability management plan.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization and agency business partners to evaluate risk from vulnerabilities and misconfigurations to make risk-based recommendations, along with continuously monitoring environments to track remediation efforts. 
  • Identify vulnerabilities in the environment, determine their impact on assets – workstations, servers, and applications – and prioritize remediation efforts.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify, assess, and measure information security risks for systems, software, threats, facilities, networks, projects to identify findings with recommended risk treatment plans.
  • Thorough and frequent reporting to executive audiences, including entities supported by NDIT, on the health of the vulnerability management program.

You establish and maintain effective working relationships while working independently and within a team. You can explain technical materials to non-technical audiences and communicate effectively.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

To be considered for this role, you must have 

 An associate’s degree and 2 years of current and progressive work experience with information system security activities, including vulnerability remediation and performing risk assessments.

 

OR

 

Have four (4) years of current and progressive work experience with information system security activities, including vulnerability remediation and performing risk assessments.
